Concepts
The words Stedia uses for orgs, connectors, Custom Agents, schedules, artifacts, and memory.
Organization
The tenant boundary. Usage, threads, connectors, members, and settings all sit on the active organization. A solo workspace is still an organization.
Team is optional. Owners and admins can group members inside one org. A team is not Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Linear.
Connector
An integration the agent can call. Platform connectors ship with Stedia. Custom connectors come from Connector Studio or a remote MCP server.
A connection is your signed-in account or API key for that connector. Personal connections stay yours. Organization connections are shared.
An agent guide is the routing text Stedia injects when that connector's tools are active. Connector Studio can generate and edit it. It is not the Custom Agent playbook.
Custom Agent
An org-owned persona: name, icon, locked tool set, and instructions. Many threads share one persona.
Starting work from /agents stamps the persona on the new thread. The stamp stays. Instructions and tool locks are re-read each turn.
The product labels the policy field Instructions. Internally that text is the playbook.
If a locked connector is not connected for you, Stedia blocks open with Setup required.
Schedule
A named job with a task in plain language and a cadence. Fixed interval (minimum 5 minutes), daily, weekdays, or a 5-field cron.
Pre-authorized tools run when nobody is watching. Other tools wait for approval until the job's approval timeout, then the run expires.
Artifact
A file Stedia generated or you uploaded in chat. Documents, slides, images, and other attachments. Open them from Artifacts or from the thread that created them.
Memory
Facts Stedia extracted from conversations. Personal memory is off if you disable Remember facts about me in Preferences. Organization memory is an owner toggle under Agent settings.
Inference
Platform inference uses Stedia's model gateway. BYOK inference uses one org credential (Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, or Amazon Bedrock). Token spend then lands on that cloud invoice. Web search and image generation still run on Stedia.
